Early access
Retenna early-access terms
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use retenna.ai and when you join Retenna early access. They are an agreement between you and Retenna Inc., a company incorporated in Delaware, United States, which runs Retenna. "We" and "us" mean that company.
By joining early access, you agree to these terms. Please read them together with our Privacy notice, which explains how we handle your information.
Early access is for people aged 18 or over. If you are 13 to 17, you may join only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. Children under 13 may not join.
These terms do not cover the Retenna app itself. When you start using the app, you will be asked to agree to its own terms.
2. What early access is
- It is a free waitlist. Joining costs nothing, and we do not ask for payment details.
- Joining puts you on the list to be invited to try Retenna before it is widely available. We decide when, and in what order, to invite people.
- We will email you early-access and Retenna product updates. You can stop these at any time (see section 7).
- Early versions are unfinished. If you are invited, you may find bugs, rough edges and missing features.
- Joining does not start a subscription and does not commit you to pay for anything.
3. No promises about timing or features
We are still building Retenna. We cannot promise:
- when Retenna, or any feature, will be available;
- when, or whether, you will be invited;
- which countries, devices or languages will be supported;
- that any feature will work exactly as shown.
The film, demonstrations and examples on this site show what we are building and how it is designed to work. They are illustrations, not a promise of what any version will do. The people, names and situations in them are fictional, and some images were made with the help of AI tools.
We may change, pause or stop our plans at any time.
4. Founding pricing
This site says: "Founding members keep founding pricing for life." This section explains what that means.
Who is a founding member. Anyone who joins early access before Retenna becomes publicly available, and keeps to these terms. We will announce the launch date on this site before it happens.
What founding pricing is. A lower price than our standard price for the same plan. We will show you the founding price before you are asked to pay anything, and you can then decide whether to subscribe.
How you get it. Create a Retenna account and claim founding pricing in the app. You can do this with the same verified email address you joined with, or by entering a code we send to that address. Founding pricing is recorded against one Retenna account only. You can claim it at any time up to 24 months after Retenna becomes publicly available.
What "for life" means. Once you subscribe at the founding price, it stays yours for as long as you keep a paid Retenna plan without a break, even if our standard prices go up. If you move to another personal plan, you get the founding price for that plan. "For life" means the life of your subscription. It is not a promise that Retenna will be available forever.
When founding pricing ends. You lose founding pricing if:
- you delete the Retenna account that holds it;
- you leave early access before you have claimed it;
- your paid plan ends, for example because you cancel it or a payment fails and is not put right within 30 days;
- you break these terms, as described under "Fair use" below.
Which plans it covers. Retenna's personal paid plans, for one person. It does not cover plans for families, teams or businesses, one-off purchases or add-ons, unless we say otherwise when we launch them.
If our normal price falls. If our standard price for your plan ever falls below your founding price, you pay the lower price.
It is personal to you. You cannot sell, transfer or share founding pricing, and each person can hold it only once.
Fair use. We may refuse or remove founding pricing for sign-ups that break these terms, for example automated, fake or duplicate sign-ups, or sign-ups made with someone else's email address without their permission.
Taxes. Prices include or exclude taxes as the law where you live requires. If a tax changes, what you pay may change by the same amount.
Changes. We will not change founding pricing in a way that makes it worse for you while you keep your plan. We may improve it at any time.
5. How we describe Retenna
Retenna is designed to act only within the rules and strictness settings each user defines. How the app works, and what we are responsible for when you use it, will be set out in the app's own terms.
Nothing on this site is medical, financial, legal or other professional advice.
6. Using this site
Please do not:
- sign up anyone else's email address without their permission;
- use bots or scripts, or make bulk, fake or duplicate sign-ups;
- try to get around our security, bot checks or limits, or access any system you are not allowed to;
- copy or scrape the site's content in bulk;
- upload or send anything harmful, such as viruses, or try to overload the site;
- use the site unlawfully, to mislead anyone, or to pretend to be Retenna.
If you do, we may remove your sign-up and any founding-pricing eligibility, and block access to the site.
7. Emails from us, and leaving
When you join, you agree that we may email you about early access and related Retenna product updates.
You can leave at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any update we send, or by emailing [email protected] from the address you joined with. If you have not yet claimed founding pricing on a Retenna account, leaving also ends your founding-pricing eligibility.
8. Our content
The site and everything on it, including the text, film, designs, the Retenna name and logo, and the software, belong to us or to people who have licensed them to us. Some material, such as fonts, is used under licence from others. Other companies' names, such as Google, Outlook, Apple Health and Health Connect, belong to their owners. We use them only to describe connections we plan to offer, and they do not endorse Retenna.
You are welcome to view the site for your own personal use and to share links to it. Please do not copy, change, sell or reuse our content, name or logo without our written permission.
9. Your ideas and feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or crediting you. Please do not send us anything confidential.
10. Our responsibility to you
The site and early access are free. We provide them "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the site accurate, secure and running, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors or free of harmful code.
As far as the law allows:
- we are not responsible for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our actions, or for loss of business, profit or opportunity;
- our total responsibility to you for anything to do with the site or early access is limited to US$100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. This includes responsibility for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for gross negligence, and your rights under consumer protection law where you live (for example South Africa's Consumer Protection Act, or UK and EU consumer law).
Links to other websites are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
11. Ending or changing early access
We may close the waitlist, change or end early access, or stop developing Retenna. If we do, we will email people on the early-access list and explain what happens to founding pricing.
You can leave at any time (see section 7).
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will show the new date at the top. If we make an important change, especially to founding pricing, we will email people on the early-access list before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the change, you can leave early access.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep any protection that the law of that country gives you and that cannot be excluded by agreement, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
14. General
- If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Retenna. Your rights will not be reduced as a result.
- Nobody else can enforce these terms.
